My Easter Centerpiece Decoration

Got ambitious today and finally got serious about starting my Easter table decorations. I made the centerpiece with a colorful assortment of spring flowers using a bicycle shaped home accent piece. I added a little pink crinkle paper to the base and finished it off with a small Gund Easter Bunny.

Still have a way to go to finish everything but it's hard to get ambitious when it's freezing cold out here in Michigan!

Hope your week is going well and you are enjoying preparing for Easter.

Fun Facts About April Born Babies

In our continuing series we are highlighting fun facts about birth month for new babies.  April obviously is the first full month of Spring and this year includes celebrating Easter.  It's always fun to read these tidbits of information regarding a birth month so if you know someone who has either given birth this month, or is planning for the new ones' arrival later this month, please send them over to this link:  Fun Facts About April Born Babies.  As adults, it's also fun to read these facts and see if any of them apply if you, a friend, or family member, celebrates an April birthday.

I hope you enjoy reading this month's edition of facts.

First Easter Two Tier Diaper Cake

My-first-easter-diaper-cake-large
I put together this Baby's First Easter Two Tier Diaper Cake today.  I just love the Gund My First Easter Plush Basket.  It contains an adorable Lil' Lamb that crinkles when you squeeze it.  It also contains a cute Lil' Chick rattle and lastly, a Lil' Bunny Rabbit with a reflective surface on the front face so that baby can see themself.  I added the Johnsons products and some coordinating bows and ribbons to match the Easter holiday.  The base cake is constructed with 40 Pampers Swaddler 1 diapers and includes free shipping to the lower 48.  You can get more details on our Lil' Baby Cakes website.

I really enjoy designing these special holiday themes.  As always, I welcome your feedback and opinion.

Happy Easter!

Do You Know What You're Taking to the Hospital?

When your on the home stretch of your pregnancy it's easy to get overwhelmed with worry about the new baby.  One "worry" is what to take to the hospital.  On our blog you can read a two part post by Rachel sharing some great tips about what to pack for the hospital.  I think you will find the information invaluable as Rachel works in the maternity ward so she knows first hand the kinds of things to bring (and also, what not to worry about).  You can find it here:  What to Pack for the Hospital--Part 1.   The second part is also available.  I hope you enjoy reading them and sharing the information.
